State To State Conference - Florida & Brazil
March 11, 2005

On behalf of SMG and CTB, Michelle Bauer and Peter Kageyama attended the State to State Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, produced by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The event, designed to highlight the business, artistic and cultural benefits of international exchanges included dignitaries from Brazil and Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Secretary of State Glenda Hood.

Michelle Bauer sat on the panel “Creative Cities & Economic Development” with three representatives from the Broward County area, all involved with economic development. Peter Kageyama moderated a panel on “Culture, Commerce & Community” with Broward County leaders and the head of TAM Brazilian Airlines in North America.

The producers of the event cited their positive experience at last year's Creative Cities Summit as part of their motivation to produce this multicultural event.
